Hello! I’m Natasha D’Souza, a wedding celebrant and a trained mindfulness teacher and coach. I now work specifically with brides and couples to celebrate their love story, and enable them to be fully present, calm, and connected to their big day.

Let’s break this down, shall we? As an accredited independent celebrant, I have the pleasure and privilege of writing and performing wedding ceremonies for modern couples looking for a meaningful, non-traditional wedding ceremony, you can find me here! As a mindfulness coach, I teach brides-to-be simple but life-changing habits that can help them stay calm, collected and completely present on their wedding day because I want them to be confident walking down the aisle and I don’t want them to miss a thing (Aerosmith were onto something there, you know).

It was a lifelong love of storytelling and romance that led to me becoming an accredited celebrant and a love of life itself that led to training as a mindfulness coach (experience and a lightbulb moment is what brought them together and so Dotty & Bright, a unique wedding wellness brand, was born!).

about dotty & bright creations

It was my experience in the wedding industry that led me to start offering mindfulness coaching to anxious, overwhelmed brides-to-be. How often do you hear a bride say she can’t really remember her ceremony because she was so nervous, or she had so many different things to think about it all feels a bit of a blur? It really doesn’t have to be that way, so when I started to see it in my couples, I knew I wanted to rewrite the narrative. With the same simple tools that have hugely helped me manage my anxious brain, I can help you effectively deal with panic, overwhelm, anxiety and stress in a judgment-free environment, to help you be calm, connected, confident and truly able to celebrate the important moments.

I’ve spent the last year working with brides and couples to create a new range of mental wellbeing products specifically developed to support brides in the run up to their big day. These products, including my positive affirmations cards, are designed to help brides-to-be practice self-care for the mind, allowing them to build the right habits now so that they are ready for anything during the stressful planning stages which can be laden with emotional triggers. Plus I know you are busy – all our teaching is based on the principle of little and often and should take less than 5 minutes a day to complete – think of it as a mindfulness toolkit filled with techniques that you can dip into when planning, on your wedding day or in your new life together.

I’m thrilled to be supporting The Mindfulness in Schools Project, who work with mindfulness professionals and teachers to take school children through a dedicated 8 week mindfulness course.  Via the charity, I’m trained to teach children across 2 different age groups and have been doing so for 3 years, so I’m really excited to be continuing to support their great work with Dotty & Bright too. I think the ability to reconnect and calm an anxious brain should be taught as early as possible and I’m passionate about the charity’s mission for mindfulness to become a part of the curriculum moving forwards to protect and help young minds become more resilient.
